Mr Andersson, a mechanical engineer, joined Electrolux in 1973. He has held senior management positions within Electrolux since 1979. He was head of Consumer and Professional Outdoor Products and Senior Executive Vice-President of Electrolux 2002-2006. In 2006 he became President and CEO of Husqvarna. Other assignments include; board member of KABE AB, chairman of Jönköping University Foundation, Sweden.

Lars Bjerde
CEO SWE-DISH Satellite Systems, Special Director, SACC-USA

Mr. Bjerde has a very broad experience in international Business Development, International Marketing and Trade. He started his career as Technical Director for the Swedish Army Regiments/Technical Academy. He went on to work for the Swedish Defense Material Administration and later as an Assistant Military Attaché for the Embassy of Sweden in Washington DC, before becoming the Vice President of Government programs at FFV Development Inc. in Alexandria, VA.

He is currently president at SWE-DISH Satellite Systems. Bjerde is the founder of the SACC Washington DC chapter and a co-founder of SACC-USA.
Scott Christianssen
Chairman of Winnebago Couty Board

Borned and raised in Winnebago, Christiansen has been active in the community as a volunteer and leader for many years.
He is the owner of Christiansen, Inc. a roofing contractor based in Rockford.  He has applied his experience as a businessman to his roles as Winnebago County Board member and various church and charitable activities.
His business has involved him in the Rockford Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Illinois Building Contractors, the Association of General Contractors and the National Roofing Contractors Association.  He has also served on the Home Builders Association Board of Directors.

His experience in government and politics include 12 years on the Winnebago County Board.  As a board member, he served two terms as Majority Leader and Chairman of the Executive Committee.  Additionally, he served as Chairman of the Forest Preserve Executive Committee, Chairman of the Legislative Committee and member of the Zoning and Labor Relations Committees.

Stefan Edberg

Stefan Edberg is a former World No. 1 professional tennis player, in both singles and doubles play, During his career, he won six Grand Slam singles titles and three Grand Slam doubles titles.
Mr. Edberg is well known as one of the best serve and volley players of all time, for his superb volleying skills, and as a gentleman and ambassador for the sport. Leif Edvinsson
Professor, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Professor Edvinsson is a key pioneering contributor to the theory of Intellectual Capital and sometimes named as the Grandfather of IC.
As the world’s first director of IC in 1991 he initiated the creation of the world's first public corporate Intellectual Capital Annual Report 1994, and inspired the development ever since on IC metrics. Parallel to that he started the Skandia Future Center as a Lab for Organisational design, one of the very first in the World in 1996, and now being followed by many in various parts of the world.
In 1999 noted as Most Admired Knowledge Award on Knowledge Leadership.  He was also awarded The KEN Practitioner of the Year 2004, from Entovation International, where he also is an E 100.
In January 1998, Mr. Edvinsson received the prestigious Brain Trust "Brain of the Year" award, UK. In 2006 also listed in a book by London Business Press, as one of The 50 Most influential Thinkers in the World. He is listed in Who’s Who in the world. Also associate member of The Club of Rome. He is also Cofounder and Chairman of The New Club of Paris, focused on the Knowledge Economy initiatives.

 


Ketil Eriksen
President V&S Absolut Spirits
Ketil Eriksen was appointed President of V&S Absolut Spirits in January 2005. He brings 18 years of experience in international marketing and management from FMCG companies to his new position.
Prior to this appointment Mr Eriksen was General Manager at Colgate- Palmolive, Sweden and Finland. Eriksen began his professional career within the Orkla Group in Oslo, followed by a marketing career within the Colgate Palmolive Company. From 1995 to 1999 he worked for Spendrups Bryggerier AB (Nordic Beverage Group) before rejoining Colgate as General Manager in 1999. In addition to his GM responsibilities, Mr Eriksen has also led various European projects within Colgate-Palmolive and spent significant time in shortterm assignments in a number of European countries.
Prior to his current position, Mr Eriksen also served as Chairman of the Swedish Cosmetic, Toiletry and Detergent Association and as Board Member of Grocery Manufacturers of Sweden (Dagligvaruleverantörernas Förbund.) Mr Eriksen was born in Kråkeröy, Norway. He is married and has two children. In his spare time, he enjoys motorboating and telemark skiing.


  Craig Engler
Managing Director, Cornell Capital Partners

Since launching Cornell Capital Partners West Coast office in San Diego, in May, 2004 Craig has successfully completed transactions totaling more than $150 Million in committed capital.
As a Managing Director for Cornell, Craig oversees six bankers that conduct deals in all sectors of the market. In addition, Craig, along with two other bankers from the California office, has recently teamed up with Cornell’s Healthcare Team because of his proximity to the booming San Diego bio-tech market and his expertise in negotiating and structuring transactions.
Prior to joining Cornell Capital Partners, Craig was the Director of Wealth Management and Alternative Investments for CapStone Investments and CapStone Group, LLC. Craig was the Portfolio Manager for CapStone Partners, a fund of hedge funds. Craig also coordinated CapStone’s Institutional Third Party Marketing Division which delivered more than $350 million of capital to alternative funds during his tenure. Prior to CapStone, Craig received his MBA from Vanderbilt University. During his time at Vanderbilt, Craig worked in the Institutional Equities Division of Morgan Stanley in New York where he worked closely with hedge funds in both the Prime Brokerage and Securities Lending area. Craig served as a Naval Surface Warfare Officer from May 1995 to June 2001.

Bo Frank
Mayor, City of Växjö

Stina Gestrelius
Deputy Managing Director, Medicon Valley Alliance, Sweden

Dr. Stina Gestrelius had extensive experience from preclinical and clinical R&D in pharmaceutical companies such as NovoNordisk, AstraZeneca and Ferring Pharmaceuticals, before starting the successful Swedish biotech company Biora AB in Malmö in 1988. Biora’s first product, Emdogain for periodontal tissue regeneration, was registered worldwide in the mid 90’s. The company made an initial public offering (IPO) in 1997, but delisted in 2003 after being acquired by the Swiss dental implant company Straumann AG.

Sören Giver
European Patent Attorney, IP Manager, Awapatent

Sören works as a Key Account Manager for some of the firm's major clients. Since 1997, Sören has been responsible for and acted as tutor in the firm’s in-house 1-year training course in European patent law for attorneys preparing for the European Qualification Exam.
He is also responsible for in-house lecturing on EPO Board of Appeal Case Law for Awapatent's Attorneys at law. In addition, Sören has frequent contacts with US attorneys, and has considerable knowledge of US patent practice. Carl-Axel Hageskog has been a big part of Swedish tennis and has among others trained Mats Wilander and been a captain of the successful Swedish Davis Cup team. He recently became Sweden’s first professor in sport management. Mr. Hageskog is a professor at Växjö University and is the architect behind the program for coaching och sport management

Jorgen Thorball

Sten Tolgfors

Minister Tolgfors -a member of the Moderate Party- was appointed to Foreign Trade Minister in October 2006.
In February 2007 he visited New York and Washington D. C., and met with his U.S. counterpart. In a speech at the House of Sweden he addressed the challenges of Globalization and the importance of free-trade for the world economic development. Göran Tunhammar

Göran Tunhammar has been the County Governor of Skåne County since July 2006. He was earlier the CEO of the Swedish Employers’ Association during 1990-2001.

Sten Wandel

Professor Sten Wandel was in 1998 appointed full professor in Engineering Logistics at Lund University, Sweden. Before that he was for 20 years Professor and Head of the division of Logistics Transport Systems at Linköping University. He has been visiting professor at MIT and Stanford in the US and at IIASA in Austria. Earlier he was Head of the department of Planning and Systems Analysis at the National Defense Research Institute (1976-76) and assistant professor in Business Administration at the University of Stockholm (1974-76). He has a Ph.D. (1973) and a M.Sc. (1970) in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (1969), and a MBA (1966) from the University of Stockholm. Born 1943 in Stockholm.

Michael M. Wood
Ambassador of the U.S to Sweden

Mr. Wood became U.S. Ambassador to Sweden on June 5, 2006. He is former CEO of Hanley Wood, LLC, a very important media company in the housing and construction industry. Ambassador Wood founded and formed Redwood Investments LLC, an investment company specializing in media and real estate, in October 2005. He is a former member of the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies. He has also served on the NAHB Long-Range Planning Committee. On June 16, 2005, Ambassador Wood received the Media Business magazine Top Executive of the Year Award. He is now Honorary Director of SACC-USA.

Senior Vice President of Business Development & CFO, BIOCOM

Ian Wisenberg, an internationally experienced executive with more than 20 years experience in finance, human resources and administration is the SVP of Business Development and CFO of BIOCOM.
Mr. Wisenberg is responsible for the overall financial and accounting systems of the organization and for leading the Purchasing Group subsidiary. Mr. Wisenberg leads the organization’s Capital Development initiative to identify opportunities for further investment in Southern California life science companies as well as the establishment of strategic financial partnerships with local, national as well as international financing institutions.
